Private by design. Calculations stay in this page; your inputs aren’t sent or saved.

Start with your paycheck

Enter your salary and benefits to estimate what lands in your bank account each payday. It uses 2026 federal, Social Security and Medicare rules, and New York State, New York City and Yonkers rates. For another state, enter its income tax rate.

Enter your yearly salary to see your take-home pay.

Estimate for one job in 2026. It figures the full year’s tax using the standard deduction and divides by your pay periods. Your real paychecks use your W-4 and your employer’s withholding tables, so they can differ a little. It leaves out tax credits (like the Child Tax Credit), itemized deductions, other income, bonuses, and New York’s recapture for higher incomes. Another state’s rate is applied as a flat percent.

How it works

Understand the estimate

These tools provide educational estimates only and are not personalized investment, tax, legal, or financial advice. Results depend on assumptions and may differ from actual outcomes.

Your take-home pay is your salary minus taxes and the deductions you choose. Pre-tax benefits like health premiums lower your income tax, Social Security and Medicare. A traditional 401(k) lowers your income tax only. A Roth 401(k) comes out after tax.
